2 Functional Specifications<br>The WAV3000 supports standard MPEG Transport Stream input and output in either<br>
Parallel or Serial mode.<br>The Tx unit transmits the compressed MPEG TS signal to the Rx unit over the air, using the<br>
WiViTM wireless networking technology at 5 GHz.<br>Supports 4.9 to 5.9 GHz frequency band and is controlled by software to comply with<br>
different country spectrum requirements.<br>The system support data rates from 6 Mbps to 60 Mbps.<br>The system supports video bit rates from 3 Mbps to 45 Mbps.<br>Proprietary radio resource control with dynamic frequency selection (DFS) and close-loop<br>
power control (CLPC).<br>Overall video propagation delay of less than 30 ms.<br>Receive sensitivity is –86 dBm for video rate of 6 Mbps, and –78 dBm for video rate of 20<br>
Mbps.<br>
3 System Security<br>
The communication is authenticated and the media stream is encrypted to assure for<br>
protection of copyrighted material. Flexible pairing procedure between each Tx Unit and Rx Unit<br>
ensures private communications between each pair of units. This also allow for coexistence of<br>
multiple pairs of simultaneous operations without cross talk.<br>
